ABOUT ME

I've been travelling quite a lot in the last few years and I realized travelling is an excellent way to learn more about yourself. I don't know why exactly, but maybe because it puts in front of situations you wouldn't be exposed to in your everyday life back home. Anyway, I've always had a hard time describing me as a person but I'll do the best I can here...

To start, I think I'm a shy person at first sight, but this can quickly change when I find myself with people I'm comfortable with. I'm curious (curiosity killed the cat), kind of wwhimsical (even thought I barely know what that means), and not too serious (obviously). I'm open minded and always eager to meet people with perspectives that differ from mine. I consider myself a very adaptable person. I can enjoy both the zen vibe of nature and the rowdy fast paced life of the city, but really have a tendency to prefer the countryside and the outdoor activities that come with it. Always ready for new experiences, new cultures to discover, new sports to try and new food to taste (veteran gastronomic tourist). Oh yeah, and almost forgot, always keen for a good ol' shindig every now and then. ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been offering my couch/bed/hammock/tent/floor to different persons, either old friends or newly met people, whenever I've had the chance in the last few years, and this back home in Canada or while traveling around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've also had the chance to squat the couch/bed/floor of random sympathetic and generous people along my travels in Argentina, Thailand, Mexico and Chile. Hope this site will help me extend my experience as a couchsurfer, either as a host or as a guest!

Interests

First of all, as I mentioned before, I am interested in people. I want to meet the locals of the places I visit and I reckon couchsurfing is a great way to do just this. I am interested in knowing what you do, what you eat, what you listen to, how you party and how you make the most of your surrounding environment. But not just this, I am also interested in exchanging ideas and ways of living.

Also, having studied ecology, I am always eager to learn more about the relationships between living organisms and their environment. Travelling is a great way to discover new ecosystems and their inhabitants, either on land or in the water. Therefore, I am interested in whatever outdoor activity which allows me to do so : hiking, diving, camping, fishing (for a meal), etc.

Apart from that, my other interests are: music, snowboarding, tennis, frisbee, , movies, drawing, ...
