About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to have adventures, wherever I am

ABOUT ME

Hello! I am an upcoming Beloit College graduate/ runner/biologist and love listening to music and cooking. If you get a couple of drinks in me I might tell you a good story.

PHILOSOPHY

you can't run from the kindness of strangers

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I'm not traveling nor do I have a couch available but I may in the near future. I would still meet up with someone for coffee or a drink though!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went on a 6 week Eurotrip with some friends and we couchsurfed whenever we could. It was a great experience with all of hosts. We highly preferred it to hostels. I haven't hosted yet (I'm living at home for now) but hope to when I move into Philadelphia in the near future.

Interests

Running, reading, biology, traveling, food, nutrition, health, dancing really outlandishly, pretending to be drunker than I am so that its acceptable,

but mostly, enjoying the most I can out of life :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a variety of music interests from jazz to hip hop to indie stuff and yes, when the mood strikes lady gaga will be played on my ipod. My favorite movie is Shawshank Redeption and Lolita and 1984 might be my favorite books (although Born to Run is up there)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw nests of turtles hatch and make their way into the water in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. Some were attracted to the lights of our university so we picked them up and put them back in the water.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach someone a few good vegetarian dishes but I need to learn how to cook meat! I used to be a vegetarian but have recently caved and dropped that lifestyle. I could also give someone an (albeit, rudimentary) lesson in jazz piano.
