About Me

***
Warning! Unfortunately I'm not being able to host at the moment :'(
***

I'm a human, embedded in a network of people, places, things and ideas all deeply connected and changing over time. Probably just like you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I grew up and I've always lived in Buenos Aires. I think it's the best city in the whole world -because of the people, mostly-, but I have quite a hunger for adventure so traveling is an important need. Researchers here get paid a liiittle liiiittle money, so of course I can't do it as often as I'd like to.

When I'm in a foreign country I like to blend with locals, get to know how their daily life is, finding out that in fact we're not THAT different. I enjoy connecting with people, talking, making contact with humans (as I am one of them...). So, that's why I'm here on CouchSurfing.

Interests

Everything in life holds something interest for me with exception of business, law and lawyers, accountancy and related stuff. I'm not proud of this - it just happens.

I enjoy nature deeply, so I try to get out of the city every single time I can (camping, if possible) and get this screen-tan out from my face. I studied Environmental Sciences a long time ago so I'm that kind of annoying people that enjoy describing the geography of places as walking by.

I love animals, maybe too much. I don't eat them, I respect if you do. Not vegan though, or at least not yet. I'm also a feminist, because I believe in the radical notion that women are people (love that quote).

My work right now is writing a doctoral thesis about technology and democratisation. In my free time I participate in community science projects because I like *doing* besides *writing*... And I also like technology just for fun, because it's amazing.

I play the flute and a little bit of clarinet, I love singing, I have some songs and poems of my own (they're bad but they're mine!). Last year I was the host and co-producer of a radio programme about environmental conflicts, science & technology, because Radio = <3

Music, Movies, and Books

This list is so long!

I'm deeply in love with Brazilian music (bossa nova, choro), now switching to Gipsy (trying to learn, sooo difficult!). Bossa nova, jazz, latin jazz, son, choro, latin america rock, some indie (not everything), Piazzolla, latin america folk music. Bowie, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull...

Books... A mixture of Bioy Casares, Huxley, Borges, Cortázar, Asimov, Bradbury, Camus, Nietzsche, Tolkien, JK Rowling, Hesse, Kundera, Onetti, Arlt, Sbarra, Saramago, García Márquez. I'm probably forgetting many. I love comics also, Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, that kind of authors.
