I'm currently travelling around the world and have no home..yet! Hopefully one day I can offer it to others!

This year an opportunity to take a break has come along so I have taken it by the balls and am running with it, well flying actually. As I travel what I am looking for is to hopefully meet people, learn about local cultures and what makes each one special, and eat as much delicious food along the way. I am always happy to try anything new, but most importantly it needs to be with a local.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having grown up in Sydney, I was very lucky to have great food always available and many cuisines too. Plus knowing my city so well meant that I could always find my favourite secret eats, get out to my favourite beach, or get to the music gigs/events I want without even thinking about it. I'm Couchsurfing so that I can learn about someone else's hometown and their favourite things to do and eat around town. I want to go beyond being a tourist in each new place and learn what it's really like to live in each place I visit.

Right now since I am travelling I have no home to offer, but hope one day I can return the favour wherever I end up!

Interests

First and foremost food. I love to cook and eat so love to share a good meal. Cooking is my meditation or relaxation so learning new cuisines and recipes are big for me. I think travelling without my own kitchen will be hard.. can I use yours? ;)

Music and dance - very open to new sounds but currently love electro, house, trance etc, rock, indie, pop.. or even old mate down the street playing a banjo (as long as they are good I will probably enjoy it!), Old school 80's rnb/hip hop, and Aussie hip hop. I love live music!

Nature - its always nice to get out into the open and I don't mind discovering a new place by doing a run/jog as its nice to stretch my legs and discover the lay of the land, but I do actually like to get out see more than just a city so would love to do a good hike/walk or see some countryside.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fav music - as above, but as I said I am open to new and interesting sounds. I like beat and rhythm and pretty much anything you can dance to.
Fav books - classics, biographies, fiction.
Fav movies - I am not such a movie buff but old favourites include Amelie, Grease and Sixteen Candles (actually any Molly Ringwald flick hehe).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've driven in the outback of Australia (the Northern Territory) sitting on a phonebook so I could see over the steering wheel of my four-wheel-drive. More stories available over a drink :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have no idea what I can teach! I worked in travel marketing in Australia... anything event or marketing related I can help with!?

And I have so much to learn, but first and foremost will be learning your language because I only know one.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a good listener, if you need someone to listen to things over a good glass of wine. I am a good (enough) cook, if you need comfort food I will be happy cook a meal for you. I love to dance, if you need someone to help you let go of your stressful week a good dance is all you need and I will be happy to join you.
I practice Reiki, so if you need a big cosmic hug then I can give you some Reiki too :)
