关于我
🌍 About Me:
Hi! I’m Julieta, an Argentinian traveler currently in Australia, exploring new opportunities and looking to immerse myself in meaningful experiences. Over the years, I have lived, worked, and studied in Argentina, Brazil, Denmark, Sweden, and Sierra Leone, and I have traveled to nearly 50 countries, always seeking new experiences and knowledge.
I have a background in law and international development. I studied African Studies at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, where I lived for almost six years. During my time there, I worked in different organizations, focusing on human rights, legal research, and international development.
🌟 Impactful Experiences:
One of the most defining aspects of my career has been my work with vulnerable communities around the world:
Sierra Leone: I lived in Sierra Leone for almost eight months, working with AdvocAid, an NGO supporting women and girls in contact with the law. My role involved legal research, correctional center monitoring, and supporting justice-related programs with a gender perspective. I also wrote my Master’s thesis on gender justice in Sierra Leone, which deepened my commitment to social justice and human rights.
Cox’s Bazar Refugee Camp, Bangladesh: While working with Save the Children Denmark, I had the opportunity to travel to Cox’s Bazar, the largest refugee camp in the world, to monitor and evaluate the implementation of our programs for Rohingya refugees. This experience gave me firsthand insight into the challenges of humanitarian response, child protection, and crisis management in displaced communities. It reinforced my passion for humanitarian work, program evaluation, and working with communities in need.
These experiences have deepened my passion for social justice, community development, and hands-on humanitarian work.
Currently, I work online as a consultant for international development projects, where I conduct mid-term evaluations of global programs related to financial development, humanitarian aid, and sustainability. However, my passion for hands-on work and sustainable living has led me to explore new areas like permaculture, nature conservation, and working with animals.
I’ve recently moved to Australia, and before settling into my next long-term project, I’m eager to travel, learn, and contribute in a way that aligns with my values.
💫 My Interests & Passions:
I have a deep love for nature, movement, mindfulness, and personal growth. Some of the things that bring me joy:
🌿 Hiking, cycling, and exploring—I love being outdoors, discovering new places, and being active in nature.
🍲 Cooking and trying new recipes—I especially enjoy learning about different cultures through their food.
🧘♀️ Yoga and meditation—I practice Ashtanga yoga occasionally and did a Vipassana meditation course in Sweden last year, which was a life-changing experience.
🧠 Mindfulness and personal growth—I am passionate about taking care of both my mind and body. I have explored and continue to explore different healing and therapeutic practices, including traditional psychotherapy, Akashic Records, Reiki, and Family Constellations.
🏋️ Exercising and staying active—Movement is important to me, whether it's yoga, hiking, cycling, or trying new sports.
🧉 Drinking and sharing mate—It’s not just a drink; it’s a ritual, a moment of connection, and a part of my culture that I love sharing with others.
📚 Learning new things—I’m always curious and open to expanding my knowledge in different areas, whether it’s sustainability, psychology, or hands-on skills.
💡 Personal Traits:
I consider myself a curious, open-minded, and enthusiastic person. I love meeting people from different backgrounds, sharing experiences, and learning new skills. I’m happy with simple things—good company, meaningful work, and a place where I can learn and contribute.
I believe in surrounding myself with like-minded people who want to change the world—whether through sustainability, social justice, or community work.
💫Philosophy:
The word convinces, but the example drags.
Who moves mountains began by separating little stones.
Change the world, friend Sancho, is not madness or utopia, but justice!
