ABOUT ME

I was born in a little island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Terceira is one of the amazing nine portuguese islands - Açores / Azores. I love the sea, the water, to swim. When I was younger I would like to be a little mermaid. I moved to the north of Portugal (continental), when I was 13 years old.
Now, I am studying Fine Arts in Porto.

I would like to travel around all the world, just drawing, with nothing more to thing about. Maybe it can be possible! I hope so.
One of my dreams is to make a good animation film. And I will try to do it, no matter what.

I like ridiculous things that make me laugh.
I like simple things (human being is already to complicated).
I want adventure.

I want to diving! I want to see the underwater world again, and properly, I want to swim in a wild river, walking in a forest, a beautiful city, the sun and the snow.
As an art student, we are always full of doubts. I just want to try live with it. Or find myself, a little bit more...

PHILOSOPHY

I think I already think a lot about life, about everything, so the best think to do is to try not to think that much. Because our philosophy, we, the others are always, always changing. No. I don't want to have a personal philosophy. I couldn't. I don't want to fix something that cannot be fixed.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hearded about CouchSurfing by some friends of mine. And I thought that it could be very useful and interesting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Until now I just had one CouchSurfing experience, and with a frien of mine (Aneta Blajer) that I already knew. It was great! I want to do it more and more, and to know more and more people!

Interests

Art in general: drawing, printmaking, sculpture, video, cinema, ANIMATION FILMS, comics, literature. Travelling around the world, to know new people, new stories, new places, new legends and fairy tails.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES: Anastasia, Belleville Rendez-vous, Pocahontas, Lion King, The Beauty and the Beast, Monsters and CIA, Le fabuleux destin de Amélie Poulain.

MUSIC: I prefer to listen to music when I am with someone. And I can listen a little bit of everything. I am not a person who knows very much about music. But love Blasted Mechanism, Fever Ray, Lykke Li and The Prodigy. I can survive if I have Blasted Mechanism and Disney songs in my mp3. I like folk and alternative music.

BOOKS: "Là où vont nos pères" Shaun Tan (comic book).
I love the authors Mia Couto and José Saramago.

By the way...
My favourite artists maybe are Paula Rego and Egon Schiele.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Curiously, I think one of the most amazing things I have ever seen, is the place where I was born. I am really proud to be born in those islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. It is an amazing place with all the green and blue you can imagine.
