About Me

CURRENT MISSION

being happy

ABOUT ME

I am a 30 year old Munich girl who loves to travel. I am working and studying at the same time and totally enjoy not having to decide on which way to go. I treasure my family and friends, and think that besides the usual ups and downs, my life is pretty awesome.

PHILOSOPHY

aargh, philosophy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to show couch surfers around my hometown and show them my favorite spots... I love my city and I would like to make other surfers' stay special. As I only live in a small apartement, I can't offer a couch, sorry :-(

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

just met someone from Canda to show around Munich, and that was a lot of fun. However, I should definitely update my knowledge on Munich history, because I have to admit I was a little vague on that part ;-)

Interests

my friends, travelling (with friends) , reading (only trashy crime & spy novels), my Ph.D. studies, researching, Japan & China, spending time with my toddler nephew, watching tomatos and peppers and eggplants and onions and strawberries and horseraddish and okra and salad and flowers and peppermint and basil grow on my balcony, Biergarten, ...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Moneybrother, Babyshambles, Keren Ann, Suede, Oasis, Jarvis Cocker, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Air, The Killers, and anything that reminds me of my wild past :-)

Books: yes, definitely.

Movies: I am very picky when it comes to movies... (guess that's because I have a really short attention span)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

spent 2 cold November days all by myself in Hohot/Inner Mongolia and horseback riding in the pasture lands to do research...
learnt to say "Would you like to see my stamp collection" in fluent Norvegian and Italian. Proved to be the most useful foreign expression I ever studied.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is what I can share:
current sociological issues in Japan
How to write the perfect job-application (in German)
in depth knowledge on watermelon, jellyfish and cucumbers
