About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Don't save the good china

ABOUT ME

Im still finding out myself, but I appreciate an informel tone, absurdities, irony, general fun and when people take interest and engage.

PHILOSOPHY

I dont know, have loads, it changes all the time. When I feel I have finally seen the light, I see a new light the very next day.
It used to be "why not" or "If there is no good reason not to do it, do it". Now I think it more "live as a maniac". But with that said, I am ever practicing more restraint, control, humility and all that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host, I surf. But I would also love to meet up for a beer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ive had some in Nepal in a small village arranged by a nepalese guy I used to work with here in CPH. And also in the Philippines with some far-out relatives, but none of that was through this website.

I have couchsurfed across the US, Europe and Africa now and I am ready to start hosting again!

Interests

Just about everything if I get a close look.

Enviroment, politics, music, movies, books, cooking, eating, diving, industrial climbing, ladyboys, Finnish culture, learn and practice speaking different languages, read travelbooks, gossipmagazines to feed my probably unhealthy interest in celebrities, play games, comics, write, be creative, people-watching -people-socializing.

Lately however, I spend most time reading, studying and talking about conflicts theory, international politics and philosophy. I am also very interested in social psychology and cognitive science and you would be surprised to learn how applicable it is!

I also like to destroy my brain with alcohol, so I will never say no to a drink.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music one way or another, right now on my playlist: Edith Piaf, Feist, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, John Coltrane, CocoRosie, Heart, Miles Davis, Janis Joplin, Cut Copy, The Doors, Manu Chao, David Bowie, Electric Six, Snoop Dogg, Iggy Pop, Fleet Foxes, Outkast, The Smiths, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Shantel, Detektivbyrån, Jedi Mind Tricks and a lot more

Music that makes you feel they made the soundtrack of your life is always great and of course differs whatever state your are in. Same with books.

I was madly in love with Holden Caulfield as a 16-year old, but now I think we have grown appart. I love Franz Kafkas work, The Dice Man, Gone With The Wind, Lolita, John Irving, Tove Ditlevsen, John Fowles, Sylvia Plath, Milan Kundera.

Now I mostly read litterature related to my study, which I am madly in love with right now. Its mostly theory of argumentation, different philosohies og language, ancient greek litterature or of course a lot of political texts. Exciting stuff...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think there's been plenty, but I dont really know or even think it is possible to write it on the internet and serve it just. I think great experiences has to be told live

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach me!

And I really like to teach or share something with people that they did not know they could not live without knowing. It may be anything really.

If I have to say something, I can teach people to wonder. And to scuba dive, to drink like a black hole, to read Arabic letters, to say impressive stuff in Latin, to create the perfect argument and to dissect the very same. And maybe even more.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Burundi, Cambodia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Laos, Latvia, Lebanon, Madagascar, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritania, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Palestine, Philippines, Romania, Rwanda, Senegal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam
