ABOUT ME

We are a french couple, we both grew up in a caribbean island where we met 12 years ago.
We lived in Toulouse (South West of France) during 8 years, and in Australia during 1,5 year.
We are currently finishing a 6 month trip in Asia and are about to go to New Zealand for 1 year.
We are friendly and open-minded people, we like to talk and share experiences.
We like to have funny as well as serious discussions, and we certainly like to laugh a lot !
We're very laid back so pretty much everything is ok for us !

PHILOSOPHY

We are living our life day by day, we don't like to plan so much, except for big trips. Our philosophy could stand in two words : one life ! We really want to enjoy as much as possible and we try to do so every day of our life !

Although we registered a long time ago, we never experienced Couchsurfing yet, but can't wait to try !

Interests

We like to travel and meet new people, share experiences...
We are absolutely obsessed with food, we are always either eating or thinking about what will be our next meal !
We like to watch movies especially in a cinema with a huge cup of popcorn !
We love adventure, trying new things, challenging ourselves...
We like to discover a country and its culture, its people, to see amazing landscape and take pictures. We like to make silly videos and send them to our friends and family so they can share our travel with us.
Xavier is a very curious person, he likes to talk, to cook, to practice any sport, to get up early, to be involved in many different projects. He is an active member of a web radio in France and even while travelling, he can't stop working on it !
Julie is a more relaxed person, likes to chill out, to read a good book, to listen to music, to write on the blog. She is more a dreamer and she thinks sleeping and chocolate are sacred !

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many !
We mostly listen to caribbean music such as reggae, dancehall, zouk, soca, salsa, but we also like pop music, RnB, Hip Hop.
Any movie with one of this actor would be good to us : Leonardo DiCaprio, Hugh Jackman, Denzel Washington, Nicolas Cage, Samuel Lee Jackson.
Also big fans of Tarantino's, Peter Jackson's and Ridley Scott's movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have seen and done many amazing things during our travels.
Recently, the most amazing was our trek in Nepal which was absolutely fabulous, and we also experienced the longest zipline in the world !

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, we could try to teach french (but usually we only teach the very bad words cause they're more usefull :D).
Xavier is an IT so he can help with any computer problem, either hardware or software. He is also a good cooker and he could teach some french recipes.
From our side, we are willing to learn anything new and we really want and need to practice english.
