Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to figure out what this being an adult is supposed to mean..
ABOUT ME
I'm Julie, masters student living in Bristol but originally from Copenhagen, Denmark. I love the colour yellow, music that gets my emotions going, dancing anywhere and everywhere, wholesome cooking and sunny days. When I'm not busy with uni and life in general, I work for a sustainable transport charity on improving cycling in England. I love cycling and the freedom it brings.
PHILOSOPHY
Live whilst you're still alive, love while you still dare to! I approach the world with an open mind and heart, I'm not that stuck in my ways. I also like to view myself as a resident in a global village; I suppose I take a lot of pride in being 'European' rather than just what my passport says..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host and surf, and try to keep updated on what's going on in my groups.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I can't actually think of a better way to meet top quality people from all over the world. I've hosted and surfed, and am super keen to do some more.
Interests
Live music, live people. Live action, live passion. Anything that makes the skies sparkle. I love to be inspired, and I love people who ARE inspired. I love dancing till the early hours, rummaging through vintage and record shops, walking in the city and swimming in the sea. I think my interest is just escapism of all sorts?

Music, Movies, and Books
At the moment I'm listening to a lot of Kevin Morby, EL VY, Ghostpoet, classical tango etc. My taste is quite broad. As long as it makes sense.
I'm a bit of a book fiend, so when I'm not reading academic works I like DH Lawrence, Proust, Anais Nin and loads of others. I'm not, sadly, a massive movie buff, but Some Like It Hot is my all-time favourite. Films by Christophe Honoré are my guilty pleasure, and Maleficent made me weep. Yup.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I survived all of it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I listened to this song recently that went "have you ever sucked the whole universe into yourself, taken a breath like it was your very first, danced into the darkness on a string". It really got to me, so recently I've been trying to practice this thing I called soul dancing. I can try to teach you that. I'd love to get better at French and learn the guitar. And a better photographer/tree climber.
