About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Wisdom ~ to enjoy a life of contribution

ABOUT ME

Love of : kindness, peace, pure joy

wonderful husband ~ Tony, who is teaching English as well and full of energy to inhale Thai culture, as I am.

We're from the good ol' South, listen to all genres of music: my favorites being Latin American and African, his are Classic Rock and Blues.

PHILOSOPHY

Pick yer friends like you pick your fruit

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted people while i lived in Costa Rica. Enjoyed the San Diego group when I lived there (bonfires!). Been meeting couchsurfers on roadtrips and in Charlotte ~ half of my closest friends!
Very thankful for this site.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

couchsurfers really made it possible for me to leap around with my dreams, be integrated, and have the occasional miraculous little destiny.

Interests

basketball & coffee; studying the Bible holistically yet literally, and also studying Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam. There is a lot to soak in from each belief system.
...working hard to contribute back to this wonderful culture, and hopefully being a part of some live music

Music, Movies, and Books

Diana Krall, Alicia Keys, Django Reinhardt, Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Miriam Makeeba, Manu Chau...books -- Drop City by T.C. Boyle is the best book i've ever read, entertainment-wise. The Bible has never failed to be insightful and fascinating too -- historically, philosophically...intricate and very full of humanity meets God...and in that vein, Who Moved the Stone is an oldie and a goodie about Jesus's trial and the events surrounding it, the characters in the whole scene

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

barefoot soccer in the warm rain of the Amazon, selling/leaving everything to be here, in this moment right now.

Teach, Learn, Share

communication is radical these days, and i think every person can make a big difference by aiming to be helpful and open

Countries I’ve Visited

Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Costa Rica, Ecuador, United States
