Usually hotels are expensive because they do not offer anything but a good bed and a great shower, but nothing about the history or local culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked aboard a ship where I had the opportunity to meet about 30 countries and 60 different cities in 3 continents, including long expeditions to the North Pole and much of the Arctic Sea.
