About Me
Hello there! My name is Julio Ballesteros, I am from Mexico and I have lived in almost my entire life in this beautiful country, and in the United States almost for a year.
I find Couchsurfing as such an amazing network to meet people with traveler spirit from all around the world! Since I was a little kid, I have always been curious about the world, its cultures, its people and the different points of viewing life.
I once read somewhere a wonderful quote: "In Couchsurfing there are no strangers, just friends who haven't met yet."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am a cultural exchange enthusiastic and I think it is a very interesting platform to meet new people who are passionate about traveling as well as I am.
By hosting, I expect to meet people from many different countries and learn about every single one of them. I have always believed that cultural exchange makes you grow as an individual.
By traveling, it is very nice to get to know about locals while you are visiting. And you get help as well during your staying in a new country, which sometimes can be confusing. By getting hosted by fellow Couchsurfers, you get to know places even before you arrive, get good advice about places to visit, and lots of helpful tricks about the place!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movie of all time is Forrest Gump, and closely La Vita è Bella. I also really like the Harry Potter and Star Wars sagas. Not to mention that I am a Disney freak and I love every movie.
My favorite book is 1984 by George Orwell, Jules Verne's novels, and a some not very globally known writers from the hispanamerican literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had the chance to work at Walt Disney World a couple times, and it was a life changing experience which opened my eyes to the world. I lived in Orlando, FL for six months during my first program in 2016. I worked at the extinct Disney Quest in Disney Springs, the Caribbean Beach Resort and on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom. During my second program this summer 2017, I worked at The Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom! It was my favorite and most awesome attraction that I could have gotten.
During my whole Disney experience I met amazing people and made friends for a lifetime. And a huge list of places to visit!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm wide open to spend time with you whenever I am hosting of travelling! I just moved to Cancun, so I am getting to know better the area (patience please haha).
I could be your basic Spanish teacher, and also share as much as I can about the fabulous mexican culture!
Also, I have a lot of knowledge about Disney Parks and Resorts vacation tricks in the United States, so if you are planning a trip to Disney, I'm your guy!
I am not the greatest chef, but I try really hard and I may surprise you with something special haha!
What I Can Share with Hosts
All my positive attitude and enthusiasm about traveling, good conversations, maybe a beer and possibly a special dish!
And maybe a friendship for a lifetime!
