My wife and I are new here at Couchsurfing, and we will be travelling mostly togheter, so we are including information about both of us here =).

I'm an easy to be around guy. Usually, I'm very positive and hard-working, and I'm learning to take some time for myself to: just began a few months ago to meditate and I have been swimming to keep fit. People say, and I agree, I'm always laughing =)

Lately, I've been doing a lot of travelling together with my wife, Rafaela.

Last year we spent 30 days travelling through the north of Brazil, in the Amazon region. About half the time we were doing volunteer work and the other half tourism, going down from Manaus to Belém by boat. It was a unique experience that we would love to talk about.

This year, she got to do two internships outside the hospital she works, one in Ceará (Northeast of Brazil) and another in Porto (North of Portugal). On both occasions, I tagged along, since I can do most of my work remotely.

My wife and I have known each other for more than 10 years and have been married for more than 2.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

We decided that we want to travel and experience the world as frequently and broadly as possible.

While surfing the web, we found Couchsurf and really loved the idea:

People that are willing to share their home with people they never met. We have received people at home on many occasions, but always through friends. This was different, a network built on trust, that makes the whole world available on a different level.

What sealed the deal was a profile I came across accidentally. It was from a couple that wanted their kids to experience the world but didn't have the budget to travel with all their kids (3 kids, I think). So, they decided to host people from around the world and bring the world to their kids. This story really touched me.

So, we are now about 15 days off from a 30 day trip through the "east" of Europe and would like to know first hand what this idea/community/experience is all about.

Música, películas y libros

I really like animations, such as Shrek, Inside Out or Lilo and Stich.

I haven't read that much, but recently I have been touched by the works of Russian writers. "Brothers Karamazov" and "War and Peace" are both epic!

As for music, I pretty much listen to everything, from classical, to rock, to Brazillian funk. For me, music is more about the sensations it arouses than the tones. At the right time and setting, (almost) any music can be great =).

Algo increíble que he hecho

Founding my software company 10 years ago, when I was only 21 is the thing I'm most proud off =). It has allowed me to meet incredible people from around the world and have fun almost all the time (I love doing it =).

Also, our travell last year through the Amazon was quite a unique and incredible experience.
