About Me

Hello! I'm an economics bachelor student in Portugal with an insatiable wanderlust. I'm always on the lookout for new experiences and discuss several different topics with people with widely different opinions. I havecstayed with a few hosts already and the more I couchsurf the more I want to do it again. The time I spent with them was some of the best I ever had and I feel each time I couchsurfed I made at least one new friend. I am currently doing an interrail so if we get to meet I can tell you all about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My main reason be on couch surfing is to meet and know new people, while also sharing experiences with them. It offers a way to travel and get know not only the city but also people and all the hidden gems most turists would miss. In the future I will also start to host so I can directly learn about new cultures even when not traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
The genre I listen to the most is by far power metal/hard rock, and since I also have a deep interest in history Sabaton is easily my favorite band. I also like songs from 2 steps from hell a lot and Blackheart is my favorite song. Aside from these two, I also like some random songs from other genres.
Movies: I don't watch them that often but my favorites are The wolf of Wall street and Pulp Fiction.
Books:
I'm really not into reading (except news), as I am mostly into videogames, series and anime. Game of Thrones is my favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wouldn't exactly call this amazing 8as it not that hard to do) but rather very interesting. My mother was raised in a small town in the north of Portugal, with its own dialect and traditions. Even though I never lived there, We would often spend our holidays there in Christmas and Summer, and in the last few years, I've been actively participating in the celebrations, as there are fewer and fewer people to do it. How? Among other things by dressing as a woman hangover as hell and go around the town with other people in costumes dancing and asking for money and food to make a grand feast for the whole town. If you want, I can tell you all about it first hand!

Teach, Learn, Share

Even though I'm studying economics, my knowledge of the subject is still very limited. It is said the more you know of something, the more you realise you don't know. As for history, I am nowhere near what an actual historian knows, but I know just enough to tell interesting stories and random facts. I can also talk about Portugal, of course, from its history to its customs and people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Aside from my growing traveling experience, I can tell you about my experience and participation in Portugal's obscure celebrations (nothing satanic, I promise). Discussions and conversations go hand in hand with alcohol, so I hope we can share a nice evening (or morning, if you feel like it) debating different topics with an open mind and with whatever drink you prefer.
