About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Searching the world in an attempt to find myself.

ABOUT ME

I studied Biology in the UFMG, in Brazil. Did a masters in Neuroscience in France and Germany. Loves nature, biking, small cities and big cities also. I really like to explore the unknown, even being a little bit afraid of it.
Love to ski, but as a brazilian, don't have any means of doing it in Brazil.

PHILOSOPHY

There's always a good side, let's search for it together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I participate mainly surfing, since I am living in a dorm in France that barely fits me and the place is still a mess... Anyway, if you have no place to stay, try to reach me, I might be able to give you a hand.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience in CouchSurfing was awesome, I've been hosted by Gerard in Rotterdam (Netherlands). I think it was not possible to have had a better first impression about CS than I had. We really talked about lots of stuff and I really got to know the city with the City Tour I got! Really amazing!
My second experience in CS was when me and my friend, we were hosted in Vienna. It was also a really good experience.
And now I am always getting to know very interesting people and places through CS!

Interests

First of all I think I may say I love knowledge, maybe that's why I chose to be a scientist. Therefore, I love to learn new things and new tricks! That's also one thing that I love about travelling, that is, learning about a different culture, a different history, a different way of dealing with everyday problems.
One other thing I love is (as already told) skiing, but unfortunately, I can't do it in Brazil, so I have to travel.
I also love to ride a bike. I think it is an exciting, clean and fast way of reaching not-so-distant places.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of movies! I enjoy many kinds of movies, from comedy to terror, passing through drama, romance and others. Anyway, I like most kinds of movies, except for the ones that underestimates my intelligence. Examples of movies I like the most:
Adaptation, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Cinema Paradiso, Edukators, Matrix, Snatch.

For music, the guidelines are much like the same as movies. I like music that don't underestimates my intelligence. And, also, as a good brazilian, I have a good taste for brazilian music. Unfortunately, it is not what we hear of brazilian music throughtout the clubs outside Brazil (and usually, not even inside Brazil). Anyway, if anyone is interessed, I would recommend starting with Chico Buarque, and the going through Milton Nascimento, João Gilberto, Vinicius de Moraes, Tom Jobim... and that's only the beggining!

(Books: I don't read as much as I want to, but I like reading. Two really good books I read recently are: The Catcher in the Rye, Good Omens, Grande Sertão Veredas, Watchmen)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To live! To be alive is something that still amazes me! Like a really wise writer once wrote: "Viver é muito perigoso" (To be alive is really dangerous)
J. Guimarães Rosa
