Overview
About Me
Im a traveler, the past two years i have been going to Canada, and followed the west coast down all the way to my home in guatemala. In Guatemala i have two farming projects, one based on urban orchards, growing food in my own home and helping people set up their own food gardens, the other project is in the mountains of Atitlan in Guatemala where i have a small coffee plantation that we are slowly turning into a permaculture project, introducing other crops and trying to diversify organically.
Farming and traveling have been my main projects the last two years, before that i studied Political Science in University. While studying I worked on several social reseach projects, one was with rural women oranizations, helping them organize productive projects to have a better house hold budget and to form links of cooperation between the women of the community, later i worked in a research project to help place environmental and natural resource management in descentralized govenment budget, also worked in serveral studies focused on hiv and veneral deseases among vulnerable populations.
Now a days im traveling to find new ideas to implement in my local projects, visiting permaculture farms and initiatives.
Im a music lover, im learning to play the guitar, im specially attracted to blues music. Im also passionate about literature, i love reading latin american authors but im basically attracted to historic narratives.
I travel because i find the world and its people as something truly amazing, the human experience all around the world holds mysticism and beauty.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Im Couch surfing because when i travel i like to have authentic experiences, which normally happends when you are allowed in the intimacy of peoples homes. I think that i have a lot to share, ive traveled to many places in the world, and my own country is a very unique country, and i believe i can transmit some of that feeling. i also believe that when there is a monetary exchange there is a barrier of formallity that forms between people, and i believe that there are other ways to serve each other than just paying.
Interests
Im interested in the human experience in the world, which i believe to be a sentient being of which we are an organ. I believe that we, all being, hold a piece of the puzzle of this unique eperience which we call life.
Im interesten in all forms of art, especially music, dance and literature. Im attracted by all forms of expression that transmit what cannot be put into words.
