About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Being a student in England...

ABOUT ME

I'm 24 years old and a German student. I originally come from Munich, but now I'm living in Berlin and I really enjoy it. At the very moment I'm in non of both cities but in Durham, Enlgand for am Erasmus exchange.

So, as you see, I love getting around to get to know other cultures and to meet many interesting people.
I'm really open minded. I always want to try out new things (even if sometimes it's not a very good idea).
I try to get to know people from as many parts of the world as possible as long as I'm a student and have the time for it=)
Well, I don't know, of course there's a lot more about me but I think you will see that when we meet each other;)

PHILOSOPHY

The world is yours.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to get to know a lot of people from everywhere. I think couchsurfing offers the best conditions to do exactly that.
So I'd like to do both, surf and host. Even though I live in a quite small shared house and I only have a really small room, if you don't have a place to go you can always ask me!
And, of course, I also love travelling. In foreign countries I try to get in touch with local people which can be difficult whn you live in hotel or backpacker hostel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The very beginning wasn't that easy but when I came to Durham to look for accommodation it was my rescue :-)

Interests

As I mentioned above, I love travelling and I'm very interested in foreign cultures.
Apart from that I like doing sports. I'm very often out in the nature, going hiking, swimming or skiing. But I also used to play tennis, beachvolleyball, soccer and some more things.
I'm also interested in foreign politics and, yes, foreign cultures and countries.
I also really appreciate going to theatres and to bars
or discos in the evenings. Well, I don't know, I'm really flexible and open minded for unknown things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading and most of the time I prefer it to going to a cinema. But a good movie can also be fine. What I defintely don't like are action or horror movies. I prefer good comedies (often with a certain amount of black humour^^) and movies with some hidden hint in it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I don't know, I think there are interesting things that I've done and seen but for others it might sound not that interesting, who knows. But my trip to Ecuador and Peru has been definitely very great and I think I really fell in love when I came to see Machu Picchu.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach. I'm quite new to Durham so I'm not a very experienced tourist guide. But it's a great town and I can show you all the wonderful corners I've already explored. And, of course I can teach you a little German if you're interested or tell you something about Bavarian dishes, or my travel experiences. There's always something to talk about.
Learn. Well as you may already have guessed I really would like to know a lot about people in foreign countries: How they live, what they eat, their problems, their everyday's life. All that. If you can tell me a bit about that stuff, that would be great for me.
