About Me

I'm a 25 year old guy. I would describe myself as a very curious person who enjoys conversations with both strangers and friends. In my day to day life I work as a professional football player and though I feel very lucky living out my dream, I here and then feel locked in what I would say is a pretty strict lifestyle, so when I do have some time off I try to get out of the bubble and broaden my perspective :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and meeting new people, hostels are great but you mainly meet other travellers who are just as clueless about the local culture as you are - so my goal is to meet people in their local environment and experience cultures from the inside.

Hopefully when I return to Norway I've made some new friends and maybeee when I get a bigger apartment I will host myself :)

Music, Movies, and Books

It's a kliché, but The Beatles is definitely my all time favourite. Top five bands would look something like this:
The Beatles
Dire Straits
The War on drugs
Gasolin
Fleetwood Mac

Top three movies at the moment would be:
La Haine
Before Sunrise
Interstellar

I try to read many different things, but two books that left a special mark in me are:

Non fiction: "The Denial of Death" - Ernst Becker. I learned a lot about how and why we humans tends to live our lifes the way we live them

Fiction: "Shuggie Bain" - Douglas Stuart. I was in tears both while and after reading this book, it's brutal and yet a delicate depiction of life in working class of Glasgow

I would love recommendations for books, music, and movies from your country :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking around in the Norwegian mountains is very special. Breathing in clean air, with the cold wind perfectly cooling down your warm and sweaty body, making your chins blossom, while having the most amazing view of nature.

And also winning the Danish Cup in 2020 was very special !

Teach, Learn, Share

While having traveled most of the western countries in Europe, I would say I know a lot about western culture, so I could give you some recommendations on where and how to travel around in Europe.

If you're brave enough I can learn you some danish words :) It is said to be one of the most difficult languages to learn - I warn you, our pronunciations are weird ! People say it is easier to learn danish if you have a potato in your mouth while speaking :D

Hopefully you can share some words from your language, maybe some words that are meaningful to you

Also I learned to cook a very delicious Pasta Salmone when I stayed in a small Italian village for a month, doing the rehab of my knee.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fundamental things about health and a lot of good stories from the football world that never reaches the media :)
