About Me

~not responding to impersonal messages~

I believe that curiosity is one of the strongest drivers of human action. In any case, my curiosity must be satisfied! First and foremost, I would consider this one of the main reasons why I am attracted to travel. Travelling offers perspectives that one hardly gains in everyday life.

Encounters are equally important to me: they allow me to be inspired by other ways of life, to have meaningful experiences and to challenge long-held views. I believe that happiness lies, among other things, in social interactions.

Whenever I return from a trip I feel as if something has changed in my life and in my view of the world. I love to stretch my limits and to be out in nature, whether it’s a hiking, cycling or backpacking.

Meeting people creates extreme value, especially if crosscultural. I enjoy conversations on everyday topics as well as philosophizing about ethics, life and politics. I can get very enthusiastic about a few subjects and love to dive more into others. People who think differently might tear down mental barriers imposed on yourself through socialization or patterns you habituate. I consider myself a life-long learner and I'd love to invite you into that process.

Encounters on Couchsurfing present a chance to make intercultural bonds real, to improve the world by making connections across people of different cultural backgrounds.

No wonder, food is very important to me and I (almost) never reject good drinks!

As a guest, I am not demanding but very reliable, friendly, helpful and most importantly grateful for everything given! As a host, I invite you to get to know me, my environment and my personality and ideas.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: There is a broad spectrum of music I adore, from Classic over Reggae to several Electronic Music genres, which I sometimes mix myself...
Beirut is my favourite at the moment I also like the Police and Metronom
Movies: Probably the Godfather and several french comedies (Louis de Funes!)
Books: Again hard to pinpoint, yet I am a big admirer of Shakespeare, Kafka, Camus
Weirdly enough, I am really into political philosophy and theory (which is part of why I study the subject).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- World Youth Day in Cracow, Poland 2016, where around 1,5 million people from all around the world gathered and shared their common belief, hopes and dreams.
- 2000km on the bike through Scandinavia
- walking on the Camino Portugues to Santiago de Compostela
- Couchsurfing in Bordeaux and creating a wonderful, lasting friendship thanks to this platform

What I Can Share with Hosts

Open-heartedness and most importantly a positive vibe. I am up to discovering you and your environment!

If you want to be housed by me, please respect that you ask somebody who doesn’t know you to provide you with accommodation! I don’t accept copy-paste requests and expect a certain minimal effort.

If you’ve read all this and respect it please put “Voyage, Voyage“ (I know I have to think of something better) in your request :) this way I can figure out who’s really interested :)
