About Me

Back in Germany and living at my parents at the moment, so I can't host.

Erasmus Year in Italy (Lucca,Firenze)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get to know new people, make new experiments, and see places beyond the classic tourist locations.
Update: I really got to know many nice and interesting persons through Couchsurfing in Germany, where I had a perfect apartment to host people, but also here in Italy, especially through the “Drink,Speak and Share” events.
I really want to keep up that spirit and witness more of those moments and memories in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to almost all genres, mostly to all kinds of rock, 90s and 2000s, but also to jazz and classic.
But I have to point out "Seattle’s best kept secret" the singer and songwriter Shawn Smith and his bands, Satchel and Brad. Listen to one of their many great songs: "Wrapped in my Memory, Mr Pink, Suffering ..."

One of my favourite films is probably “Mine Vaganti” by Ferzan Ozpetek. I like those Wes Anderson movies and “coming of age movies”
But like with my music taste I’m pretty open to a lot of stuff, maybe no splatter.
Recently watched “I lost my body” and have to recommend it.
I prefer historical novels, for example Noah Gordon’s and Ken Follett’s books and probably more unknown Rosemary Sutcliff’s great novel “The eagle of the Ninth”
Then I absolutely love the thrillers by Patricia Highsmith, especially “The two faces of January” and last but not least I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to Jim Butchers urban-fantasy “The Dresden Files” series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending a year in Italy with little money, but many great people and a great spot at the river Serchio ( ponte monte san quirico) to swim in from spring to autumn.

Teach, Learn, Share

Obviously I'm pretty good at speaking german, where I can teach you some rather nice and funny swearwords (Lauch, Otto etc.)
Also I know a few good pasta recipes ( but I don’t dare to show them in Italy xD)
I can teach you a few simple cards games and I guess I got some of good stories to share.

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, England, Greece, Ireland, Italy, United States
