ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Julius, and I am a goldsmith (jewellery maker). I live in a small town East of Munich (1.5hrs. train ride). I love the work I do, and somehow feel privileged to have that. I feel that most of my fellow humans (in the western world) fail to find themselves, and to get to know themselves. I feel that many of them live and exist almost outside of themselves, through lies of capitalism, television, and governments. All I want is to be human with my fellow humans, coexisting in peace, respect, awe, and fascination of the beautiful planet we get to inhabit.

So, enough of that, if you want to meet someone new, see a different perspective, send me a mail, and get on your plane, bike, moped or camel and come to Trostberg! :)

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life, because it is a miracle! I am often amazed by very small things like a tiny flower growing out of a hairline crack in a giant rock.

I have a patient heart and love to be quiet at times to just listen; to people, the wind or the warmth of sunlight through the leaves of a tree I lay under. I am a bit of a dreamer, but then again I think I have to be to make interesting and meaningful art...

I hope when I leave this human form on Earth, that I was in resonance with this place and my purposes here, and did not miss the point...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies! From ridiculous American action films, to deeply depressing German and Italian films, to the peculiar but fascinating films from Scandinavia, to passionate Spanish films, etc.

Music: I may have the strangest (and worst) taste in music that I love...

Music often holds love, truths about our existence and purpose, peace and joy, maybe even if the maker was not aware of this. I think it is a universal language between us all and the cosmos.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have turned the love that two people have built into rings they wear everyday, and seen them cry.

I can see, hear, touch, feel, think and be! That alone, is amazing! :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook well, and I am sure some of my friends like me only because of that :) no I'm just kidding
I am good with my hands: I can usually repair something when it is broken, or make something new out of it.

I can fix computers that are sick, and even show you how to do it yourself in a way that you can understand!
I can teach you how to make a ring, or teach you how to make a reliable bow and arrow from things out of nature. Or teach you how to dive, or drive, or feel alive.

What I want to Learn? I want to learn everything if I could, and that's one of the many reason why I couchsurf!
