ABOUT ME

We are a couple in our early thirties. Julia was born in the island of Corsica and met Laurent in Belgium, where we lived and worked for the last 5 years. We are currently travelling around the world for one year and wish to meet amazing people of different cultures during this trip. We love hiking, learning about the local traditions, languages, music, food, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As we are currently travelling, we cannot offer accommodation but we are looking forward to experiencing the CS project as couch surfers along the way and will definitely offer our couch as soon as we have one. ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have surfed on friends and family's couches several times and always enjoyed having people stay at our house (when we had one ;) ) but never experienced couch surfing as such. Really looking forward to it.

Interests

Hiking, going to the movies, having a few drinks with friends, cooking and tasting new flavours, music, photography, desperately trying to communicate with people even when we don't speak a word of their language.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy which is a good combination of two styles we really like: science-fiction and travel books with the added-value of British sense of humour. Barjavel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attend a Sumo championship. Eat Fugu. Survive the bad weather in Tasmania. Have a swim in a natural hot spring in Landmannalaugar (Iceland).
