Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a son and daughter who talked me into couch surfing for the first time in Chicago. I had so much fun, I decided to join the network in hopes of both surfing and hosting whenever possible. Someone sure had a good idea to start this up.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience was really great because our host was fabulous and took the time to show us around Chicago for nearly half a day. I also have hosted a young man who was trekking across the U.S. for the American Cancer Society. I'm ready to start back again after a long break.
Interests
Calligraphy, hiking, volleyball, cooking, getting together with friends, travel, writing, radio broadcasting, music, etc. I would LOVE to teach English in a foreign country and am just recently ready to begin looking for opportunities.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly like inspiring true stories about people's experiences. As far as music, I like a wide variety including dubstep.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've had a lot of unique experiences, such as recently getting in "trouble" for landing a hot air balloon in an agricultural area (accidentally); danced Argentine Tango at a pig roast in a ritzy cave in the heart of the Ozark Mountains; and did some beekeeping during a pollination season in central California, etc.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a calligraphy teacher at colleges and other educational facilities. I also help train medical transcriptionists in India. I love to learn new and interesting things from people and share unique experiences.
