This current trip has me exploring Europe for the first time! I'll be studying a semester in Prague, but I look forward to visiting countries around Czech Republic.
So far it has been amazing and I'm sure it will continue!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's nothing like tips from locals to visit a new city! It’s crazy how you have much more fun, have great discussions and learn about one another's culture, and see things you would have never seen if it wasn't of the amazing hosts of this community!

Interests

I like bicycles: commute by bike, touring cycling, and road bikes. I'm also really into canoeing (which is probably my strongest typical Canadian feature!). I love long-term canoe camping expeditions, or being a river rat and go whitewater canoeing on day trips. I learned to surf on the US east coast and try myself on few spots in Australia as well. Nothing can describe the moment when you riding a wave... Hiking and discovering new mountains is also awesome. For the rest, reading, photography, discovering new meals, beers, and places, play board games... Desserts in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Atl J, Sixto Rodriguez, Jean Leloup, The Black Keys, Tchaikovsky, Cowboys Fringants, Arcade Fire. Also, I must admit that I'm a big fan of musicals (big confession here).

Movies: Tarantino's movies are awesome. I also like movies in which Louis de Funès's played. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Big Lebowski, Burn After Reading, Natural Born Killer, Snatch, Trainspotting.

There are also many series I got addicted too: Game of Thrones (of course.), Breaking Bad, Vikings, House of Cards, The Walking Dead...

Books: Any kind, but I need to kind of sad or amazed when I turn the last page. Most of my favorites will be Zola, Follett (The pillars of the Earth!), Folco, Dostoïevski, Werber (Les Fourmis) and many many others. Never stop reading, it's food for the soul (yeah, with music).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a lot of outback expeditions in Quebec's province in Canada. Being lost in the wood is the best way to find yourself (wink wink)! In that area there's a huge river called the St-Laurent River, on which I've once seen one of the most beautiful sunsets in my life. Speechless.
I've also travelled to Australia for few months as a lot of our fellow travellers here. From tropical forest to harsh desert, this country as a lot to offer. Don't miss it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an outdoor sport junky. I can tell you a bunch of stories on my adventures in Canada's outback and its beautiful wildlife! I can also make you discover some of our food specialities if you trust me enough to deal with your oven!
I would really like to play you some good old songs from Quebec French tradition on guitar, unfortunately I don't play it but it would be my great pleasure to make you discover new music bands!
