Overview
About Me
I'm a tea-drinking web designer with a fierce sense of wanderlust and a passion for impromptu roadtrips. On a typical weekend, I can be found being silly in an art gallery, listening to jazz and criticising font-choices in the menus of hole-in-the-wall-restaurants.
I'm fairly new to the Couch Surfing community, but always keen on meeting people! :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meet new people and make new friends! I'm open to recommending or being recommended good bars, gigs and galleries.
Interests
My interests primarily exist between the split of technology, design and art. Three topics I can sort of nerd out forever on. I'm always up for adventuring (whether urban exploring or doing a hike). I enjoy digging through the aisles of a comic book store looking for the latest Marvel issues; as much as I enjoy going winery hopping and binging on a good Shiraz.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I mostly enjoy jazz, swing, big band and blues but I also know all the lines to Ke$ha's albums. I'm a firm believer in not-ragging-on-other-people's-music-choices and can enjoy pretty much anything. Also, hey -- musicals. Showtunes are where it's at.
Movies: Old Hollywood (basically anything with Bogart and Hepburn), Wes Anderson, and Christopher Nolan. Mean Girls references are so fetch.
Books: I have a growing collection of design books, so I mostly read for work. Outside of that: Poetry -- Neruda, Siken and Eliot. I enjoy Palahnuik and Gaiman. Marvel over DC, but can be swayed to reading some Vertigo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Road-tripped across the West Coast of America. Three weeks of travelling, starting at California -- all the way towards Vancouver and ending at Nevada.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can show you the difference between Helvetica and Arial, possibly some calligraphy.
