About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Cote d'Ivoire, West Africa. Growing up we moved around often and I traveled to and lived in many different countries. So traveling got in my blood and to this day I get a little stir crazy if I'm in one place too long. I'm sure my unique childhood contributed to a lot of my different eccentricities, including many I'm not aware of.
I've lived based out of Nashville, TN for most of my adult life so this is my US home, but have left multiple times to briefly live elsewhere or just to travel. My partner and I have been together for a few years now and enjoy sharing with other people who love travel.
We haven't been hosting much the past couple of years, but we bought a house last year that we've very slowly been putting together and are probably going to open it up to guests again as we are able.
I tend to gravitate towards the unordinary, the roads less traveled, and individuals who see living as an art to be mastered.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat people as you expect to be treated.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Basically, I like meeting interesting people, and most people that are willing to sleep on a stranger's couch probably have some interesting stories and world views to share. As do those willing to host a stranger on their couch.
Interests
I'm a curious and easily entertained person, so my list of interests is infinite, but to name a few: playing music, seeing live music, camping, travelling, hiking, meeting people, learning, ethnic food, etc. Rock climbing has been my primary hobby over the last few years, and I enjoy cycling when possible too.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really feel like trying to list my favorite art. It's frustrating and always incomplete.
Suffice it to say my tastes have become increasingly eclectic with age.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Where to even start?
falling asleep on camping trips in West Africa to the sound of hippos barking in the distance and bush babies screaming in the trees.........sleeping in a hammock over the ocean or floating in a mud volcano in South America........watching a leatherback sea turtle make the journey on shore in the middle of the night to lay eggs or seeing an amazing sunset over the Florida keys.......dancing in a mad frenzy to some sweaty brass band for hours in New Orleans........the list is long and continues to grow longer. My life has been extraordinary, blessed and cursed and won.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a jack of all trades but a master of none. I know a bit about a lot of things but not a whole lot about any one thing. I think this comes from my propensity to travel and stay constantly moving and changing. So I have a lot of random bits of knowledge, information, and just stories to offer.
By the same token, I am always eager to know more about anything and everything. I'm always happy to meet new people, hear their stories, and learn from their life experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Pretty much anything. Just ask and we'll figure something out.
