Hi! I am Jumin, a student majoring in sociology and interested in urbanism. It is in fact just sort of a plausible excuse to travel and visit many cities around the world. haha:D Sometimes I get shy(?) at first meeting but soon it turns out that I am quiet a social and outgoing one.

I have been learning English for long, german for about 5 years, just started learning danish, spanish and chinese and still interested in many other languages., Although I am not that confident of my speaking ability in foreign languages (sadly), I love having a chat in English or german with my foreign friends. Not to say making friends all over the world!

I've been living in Seoul for most of my life and still live and study in Seoul. But just for this fall and winter I stay in berlin as an exchange student. I try to improve my german and I really really try to visit as many cities as possible during my stay in Europe. So I travel almost every week these days.😁

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to start my travel in Europe in hope to make many friends here. But soon I found that it is never easy while I stay passive and reserved. I need to go out and make an effort to make friends. That's why I am on couchsurfing. In addition it will help me get some local tips for my travel as well.

Interests

As mentioned above, I am interested in various faces of many different cities and the diverse life styles of the locals as well. :D The transportation system, shelves at supermarkets, menu signs on the road, everything that gives me hints on the city and the people attract my attention.

Nature is also what I am really interested in. So I am always happy to encounter a part of the urban infrastructure for sustainability and environment during my travel. for example; Traffics and roads for Bicycles, drinking fountains, recycling system etc.

I love trying something new. This includes; new city, new people, new food(definitely), new language, new routes and roads, new clothes etc. :p Although I sometimes get lost and go through troubles, I appreciate that all the experiences are worth going through.
