About Me

CURRENT MISSION

put a little weirdness back into the world

ABOUT ME

I was an aimless wanderer, now snugly wrapped inside the ivory tower, getting a PhD in neuroscience. Every few months it gets too stifling though so I escape whenever I can. I need a kick in the pants every once in a while or I'll just stare at the wall thinking, so don't be afraid to pull me back to earth.

PHILOSOPHY

Before you can be properly eccentric, you have to know where the circle is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed when possible in Europe, and hosted a lovely couple last winter. Also I'm charming at parties?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first random couchsurf was an accidental one. I was in Amsterdam on Easter weekend and every hostel and hotel was booked. I went to a bar and asked the least sketchy guy I could find if I could crash on his floor. Turns out he was super nice, but it's not an experience I'm likely to repeat.

Interests

synaesthesia, black holes, secret societies, aesthetics of urban decay, bullshit hats, and the fundamental interconnectedness of all things.

Teach, Learn, Share

My mind is open. I'd like to learn more about camping/hiking/hitching and other techniques for living freely. In return I can share my thoughts on quantum entanglement and consciousness. Always looking for good music, good ideas, good stories, and always willing to lend an ear.
