About Me

I'm Juna, a generally positive person, and proud to be left-handed.

Currently on a mission to explore more of my own backyard by traveling around the Northeastern U.S.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing the second I had a place in which to host surfers. Couchsurfing is, in my opinion, the best way to travel because as a traveler, you get the best info about how to see the area, and as a host, you get to meet people from all over the world. I'm on Counchsurfing to share with and learn from others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Modern Times, Indiana Jones, Little Miss Sunshine, terrible action movies like Wanted and The Forbidden Kingdom, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Grand Budapest Hotel, Delicatessen, Kick Ass, American Ultra, Broadcast News, Matinée

Music: Plume, Au Revoir Simone, The Beach Boys, the Beatles, Sufjan Stevens, movie soundtracks

Books: I'm taking a Children's Lit Challenge this year to fill in some of the gaps in my knowledge of children's literature. For the challenge, I've read things like The Three Muskateers, Treasure Island, and the Wind in the Willows. Taking the challenge has taught me that children had very little to read before 1850 and that all literary references lead to Robinson Crusoe. Outside of the challenge, some recent books I've read are Are You My Mother?, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Ode to Kirihito, and Chew.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii was beautiful and calming.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: About the Boston area, including how to aggro-walk across the street and points of interest that are still accessible in the snow.

Learn: Languages! Cooking! Stories! Teach me anything.

Share: Good company and traveling tips.
