About Me

Hi there! I'm a pretty friendly person and I love talking to people--tell me your life story! I like going on adventures around the nooks and crannies of places. I was raised in Boston, went to college in NY, and have been working in Kagoshima for the past year. I'm moving to Gunma (or maybe Tokyo) in December. I work as an English teacher now, but I'm looking to possibly do translation in the future. I'm a huge language/linguistics enthusiast. Also passionate about music, currently in love with the taiko. I also play guitar and piano and sing, and I would love to jam, but I'm not very good. I like being outdoors. I write when I have the time. 日本語も全然大丈夫です!地元の人との出会いをいつも求めてます。

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favorite part of traveling is making connections with local people. My favorite part of living even when I'm staying in one place is also connecting with all different kinds of people.

I'm going on a road trip from Kagoshima to Gunma in December, and I hope to get to know lots of people and places along the way. I'm looking to explore places I've never heard of. I'm planning to drive along the Japan Sea coast of western Honshu, so I'm definitely looking for people to connect with and places to stay around there.
