Overview
About Me
I am a very passionate and social person. I always have a smile on my face when dancing, singing, or playing roller derby. I feel the most alive and grounded when I'm outdoors. I love meeting new people and am always down for engaging in a good discussion and hearing different life stories. Having friends over for a potluck or music night is a highlight of my week. I am constantly inspired by others and that's why I love hosting surfers!
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in karma and positive energy. Also a big fan of The Golden Rule. But mostly I'm still working on figuring everything out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By offering up couches (and music and books and food and fun) to travelers and engaging them during their stay.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted several couchsurfers and have been inspired differently by each and every one of them! I was also hosted for the first time in Thailand and found it equally enjoyable and beneficial.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Crossing to Safety, Siddhartha, Ishmael, In the House of the Spirits, Catcher in the Rye
Music: So many artists from so many different genres I'm not even going to start to list them. But if you love music we are sure to get along. I'm always looking for new finds. Also, I enjoy jazz and used to host a show on my local public radio station.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I completed a ten-day silent meditation retreat in southern Thailand and found it to be one of the most insightful and enriching experiences I've ever had. It left me with a lot of food for thought about what is really important and I'm trying to integrate some of the lessons I learned into everyday life. It's a challenge.
Also, I've now been playing roller derby on and off for about five years and it's one of the most amazing things I've ever been involved in. Seriously. Even though I've broken a couple of bones I'm still into it.
