About Me

Let's exchange travel tales and make the world smaller.

As a host, my partner and I love getting to share our humble space and hear humanity's many perspectives. It's fun to help curate activities while folks visit.

As a guest, it's always beautiful social experiment.
There's so much gratitude and humbleness that comes from accepting sanctuary from a new person, and it makes me have faith in humanity in a profound way.

I am an illustrator and singer-songwriter (music/art at www.junebunch.com) who often plays around town and collects spiffy brewery nooks and secret bookstore gems around the city. Because I work at an art center, I'll be the first to tell you the list of endless St. Pete galleries and museums!

My partner and I are avid outdoors folks and would love to share the best places to kayak or wander around - be it in the canopies of mangroves or in the ancient live-oaks.

Expect a:
tacky-joke queen
cafe doodle addict.
dad-dance-move mastermind
sincere conversationalist
impromptu singer-songwriter
experimental kitchen aid
morning yoga enthusiast :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it gives me a spark of hope in humanity:
As a host, it brings travel to you.
As a guest, it gives you a feeling of home.

"Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it"
-Mahatma Gandhi

"Instead of trying to convince people to try new things, try to find people who area already doing new things"
- A. S. C. Wall

Interests

My little band! Coordinating meet-ups for singer-songwriter circles. Open Mics and house shows. Outdoor activities. Flash mobs, camping, rooftop picnicking. Galleries and hole-in-the-wall restaurants. secret handshakes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took 6 months to wander the U.S. after graduation and couch surfed pretty much the whole way through- we camped in the Utah deserts for a week and rock climbed until we ran out of water once, that was pretty enchanting. We picked up a street performer and drove him all the way from Santa Cruz, CA to Grants Pass, OR and he sang song with us the whole way. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I learn from everyone. I get a great deal of pleasure exchanging stories with people I come across. You learn a lot about the specks of life that you otherwise would've overlooked.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Philosophy rants, funky tunes, tasty food and loads of places to cram time into.
