Overview
About Me
I am Lin Jung(林蓉), originally from Taiwan and now study Sociology in Cologne. I studied Anthropology as the bachelor, so I am very into people's lived experience and cultures all over the world. I am also very interested in social issues, politics and the environment. I am active in Taiwan young Greens and have been working in an environmental NGO in Taiwan for years, with projects related to the mining industry and indigenous rights. In the years of bachelor, I have been to the New York state as volunteer in an organic farm for 2 months. I spent my final year of bachelor in Tübingen(Germany) as exchange student. Therefore, I speak fluent English , a bit Taiwanese and Mandarin( first language) . Now I am learning German. I am looking forward to learning from people around the world through this platform.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to explore the world more by getting to know different people in the world. I enjoy learning about different cultures, social situation and personal experience.
Interests
My hobbies include reading, photography, swimming and listening to music and of course, traveling! I am very interested in cocktails and spirits, and environmental issues.( Yeah I know it's a weird combination). I am also very into Cultural Anthropology, Psychology, history, politics and Sociology, and like to exchange different opinions and knowledge of these fields.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. working in a local organic farm for 2 months in Hudson, USA.
2. volunteering in an environmental NGO for 2 weeks in Indonesia.
3. working in an environmental NGO for 1 year in Taiwan, involving into protests against Mining company.
4. Doing a feldwork in a indigenous town in Eastern Taiwan, researching into a local protest against Hydro power plant project.
