ABOUT ME
I am just an ordinary guy who is trying to find himself in this crazy world we live in.
I’m very open minded, curious to learn new things and EXTREMELY in love with nature.
I am currently a tourism student at University of the State of Amazonas and I work at Amazonas Opera House, which is the most famous tourist attraction of Manaus City, as a tourism monitor. I’m also a freelancer fashion model since 2020 (that’s why the name King Junior, artistic name haha).
Due to study tourism in college I just fell soooo deeply in love with nature and Amazonian culture in a way I can’t explain. I really love telling people how everything works here in Manaus and show the REAL MANAUS for the visitors. I also like hanging out at the tourist places like museums, theatres, art galleries and going out for drinks as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here using the app because I like meeting people from others part of the world and notice how we are all so different from each other.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2020 I participated in a fashion show for Vogue Brasil's Instagram without having any modeling experience. I remember that I was very nervous and very shy among those gorgeous models. I was quite professional pretending I knew everything and pretending to be a model too hahahah. Everything ended well and I didn’t fall.
In 2023 the Amazonas experienced one of the biggest droughts in history. In November of that year, me and one of my friends, who is a guide, made a trip through the jungle towards a small riverside community to see the consequences that the drought brought. During the journey, which was all on foot, it was so scary and impressive to see the river that low, but also I experienced wonderful things on the way. Arriving near the community we slept out in the Amazon nature, which was my first time doing it. And believe me, the nature at night is very alive and incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can take you to many places. I live in the city center so here there are theaters, museums, squares, lots of bars. I also can teach some Portuguese and in return I’d love to learn your language whatever it is.
