About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taking as much time as I can do a grand road trip through North America. I am travelling from Seattle through Canada, all the way to Quebec City, down to Boston and along the east coast of the US, turning west and heading towards San Diego and then back up the coast. I might take a jaunt through Mexico, but that's a looong ways away.

ABOUT ME

Trans genderqueer nerdy kid with a big heart and a small ukulele. LGBTQ issues and identities are important to me. I'd love to meet queer people all along the way.

I use they/them pronouns, so please use those. For more information check out http://everydayfeminism.com/2014/11/pronoun-etiquette/

I'm also a Burner, and love meeting more art loving freaks like myself. This year (2015) I was part of the Couchburners Camp, a camp of mostly couchsurfers from all around the world. I love meeting people from lots of different countries gathered in one place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to live in a place with a lot of couches and space for air mattresses and tried to open my house up to as many people as possible. I love driving people around when they stay with me, and showing them the city where I live.

When I'm travelling, I like to be a part of my host's family and be kind and good and share what I have with others. I like to clean, and I help cook, even though I'm not a terrific chef, myself. I'm bringing my ukulele, so I have that to play along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My broadest couchsurfing experience was when I drove across the USA from New Jersey to San Francisco and I managed to stay with friends every night except the last. I wish I knew someone in Utah or Nevada!

I've since hosted several dozen people, and I wish I could have hosted even more. When I move into a bigger space, I definitely want to host more people again.

Interests

More than anything, I like just spending time with people. Walking around pretty places is my favorite way to interact with people.

I also watch plenty of movies, TV shows, and read comics aplenty.

I love telling and hearing stories travels and travails, going to museums and discussing art, and sharing music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing sunset over the Olympic mountains really was special the first time I saw it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I play the ukulele and love sharing my music with others and playing along when y'all also play.

I know way too many things about lots of random things. I know a lot of things about food, though less about cooking. I always love sharing my knowledge with others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help cook, though I am not an amazing chef myself. I'm definitely good at making pancakes, and I'm trying to find a cast iron skillet to bring along with my as I left mine at home.

I'm a fan of washing dishes and keeping a place tidy, so I'm definitely up for helping with chores.
