About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to meet people who like to travel, bien sur.

ABOUT ME

My husband and I have lived in New York City since July 2006. While it is an exciting and creative city, it is sometimes lonely. We could use more company. We also have a wonderful ten-year-old Border Terrier named Hadrian who LOVES people, so anyone surfing our couch will not only need to tolerate dogs, but will not mind playing with and getting kissed by our 20-pound ball of energy.

PHILOSOPHY

Can anyone write a personal philosophy in a little box?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host people who are curious to see New York. I would especially like to meet university students from French-speaking countries and Italy, as I speak French and Italian. I can speak some Korean and Spanish, as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My husband and I have previously hosted people from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, and the United Kingdom.

Interests

Exploring New York, bike riding, museum-hopping, interior decorating, weight-lifting, eating....

  • dogs
  • dining
  • traveling
  • socializing
  • cycling

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the 18th-century novel, Victorian literature, Edwardian literature...I like 20th-century literature less and less as the century unfolds, with some notable exceptions, like DeLillo, for example.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? Let's see....I flew in a little plane over James Bay once in the summertime, and I could see ice on the bay. I had never seen a body of water that far north before and although I should not have been, I was still surprised to see ice.

Teach, Learn, Share

Quite possibly the best food in the world is Korean food - healthy, innovative, delicious.
