About Me

Hi, I'm Jun (pronounced like the month, June) from Colorado, USA. I am South Korean and American, have served in the military for 2 years. Now I am studying and living in Lyon, France! I'm really open-minded for all opinions, easygoing, and am always looking for new adventures. I love cultures and hearing local stories. For this reason, I'm keen to talk and meet with the locals, instead of just posing in front of famous places/monuments for a selfie. For this reason, I think couchsurfing is the best way to meet the locals!

I also love good food, having a good conversation, hiking, sharing stories, history, cultures, languages...There is so much to learn in this world! I like to laugh, enjoy the little moments, make jokes, yet am respectful and attentive toward people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Don't be a tourist, but an adventurer! I want to learn cultures, and meet locals, not to take pictures and brag on others about places I've been. For this reason, Couch surfing has been a great companion. My first CS experience was in Budapest, Hungary. She was a wonderful host. we got to learn and share our stories and cultural values, and differences. It has been 6 years and already and we keep in touch!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

stuff like this is worth sharing in person!

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is a never-ending process of learning. We never stop learning!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cultural diversity and a way of living! I think I am a true melting pot of many cultures. Though most of my friends tell me I'm American, I still keep my fundamental values and learnings from different cultures and also from my roots. I really love sharing stories and cultures. The world is beautiful!
