Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Juno, 22, from Nueva Ecija, Philippines. I am a student taking up an under grad degree program in veterinary med, and a volunteer in an organization which spearheads activities for community building, and educational and socio-cultural development.
Recently, I have gone through something very difficult and with that I thought of seeing other places, getting replenished by the beauty of nature, and meeting new people. At first it was a bit puzzling because I have to handle my finances, and I'm scared of getting myself into trouble, but at the end of the day, I realised that something is worth remembering if you are able to take over the trip; like if you enjoyed it and made the best out of it, then it is something worth keeping and sharing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
NEW PEOPLE
I am here because I wanted to meet new people, to listen to their stories, and to see a different perspective about everything under the sun. It's amazing how people easily connect and have fun with the smallest idea about who they are and where they come from.
BRIDGING THE GAP
Immersion is one of the keys in bridging the gap between people of various customs and traditions. You can learn their craft by doing it to further understand their culture. In parallel to that, you teach them what you do as well. The collaborative efforts of people create a ripple effect to abolish social injustice and discrimination to highlight cultural sensitivity, and camaraderie among people of different colors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I joined a group of hikers for the first time. They're all professionals, and I was the only student in the group. We have gone hiking and then went to an island to spend the rest of the day (we stayed overnight actually). We set a camp, shared food and drinks, got to know each other, and shared laughter and stories. I never thought I could get along with them well.
It's a fun experience. The most amazing part is . . . it's a climb for a cause. So the proceeds of the pre-registered event package shall be used to fund an outreach activity. It very nice, and I absolutely loved the idea so i signed up.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think I can share stories of adventure, souvenir items, and LOVE, HOPE and PEACE! :D
