ABOUT ME

Not too long ago, I made a promise to myself; to venture out and visit as many countries as I am old. Sounds cliche? Or crazy? Sure, why not.

By my count, I would be no more than a toddler; young, innocent, and open to what the world has to offer. Fortunately, in a few months I could be on my way to kindergarden, and possibly even grade school soon after. I will be traveling all around Asia, visiting several countries, and hopefully meeting many new and exciting people along the way.

So a little about me. Apart from being curious and open-minded, I'm the kind of person that constantly looks for new challenges and ways to improve, be it from reading or visiting places I have never been to.

I believe that traveling is the best way to open your mind; to steer away from staying in my comfort zone is what I live for. Though not a fan of the brand, I believe that Nike best sums up my way of thinking. To succeed in life is to go out, explore, and 'Just do it'. In a logical sense of course.

PHILOSOPHY

In my imaginary world, I'm my own superhero; they call me the man of steel, the cape crusader. I steal from the rich and give to the poor. Except for the most part, I find myself analyzing securities and/or studying ways to maximize the expected return while minimizing the standard deviation of my portfolio. I aspired to become an engineer, a pilot, an astronaut in real LIFE but the board game had other plans.

I'd like to think of myself as the man in the iron mask for with it on brews my adventurous side. I've risked my life scuba diving--and nearly drowned, paddled a dragon boat--and nearly sank, and hiked 100 kilometers over 30 straight hours in arguably the hardest endurance event to raise awareness for poverty. I wish to travel the world and see Planet Earth outside my television set.

So who am I? I'm Mr. legendary. Super extra-ordinary. I am unlike any other superhero I know.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been an incredible four months of traveling so far. A big thank you to all my CS friends, the stories, the laughter, the great times and lifelong memories.
