Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing to connect with people from around the world and immerse myself in diverse cultures. Traveling is more than just visiting new places for me; it's about experiencing the local way of life, hearing personal stories, and forming genuine connections. Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to do just that.
As a student of Art and Design, I'm always inspired by new environments and the people I meet. Couchsurfing allows me to explore different perspectives and find creative inspiration in the everyday lives of my hosts and fellow travelers.
I believe that the best way to truly understand a place is through its people. By staying with locals, I hope to gain authentic experiences and create lasting memories. I'm excited to share my own culture and stories, as well as learn from others. Let's create unforgettable experiences together!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing experiences I've had was serving as a tour guide for international students from South Korea, Dubai, and Ecuador in Shanghai. This opportunity allowed me to showcase the vibrant city and its rich history, culture, and modern marvels. It was incredibly rewarding to see their excitement and curiosity as they discovered Shanghai's hidden gems and iconic landmarks.
In addition to this, I also had the chance to lead a group of exchange students from South Korea and Japan on a research project in the Xinhua Community. Together, we explored the local area, interacting with residents and gathering insights into the community's unique blend of tradition and modernity. This experience not only deepened my appreciation for Shanghai's diverse neighborhoods but also strengthened my cross-cultural communication skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing my knowledge and experiences with my hosts. Here are some of the things I can offer:
In-Depth Conversations: I'm passionate about discussing a wide range of topics, including Chinese history and culture, university life, film, and art history. Whether you're interested in learning about ancient Chinese dynasties or contemporary art movements, I'm excited to share my insights and engage in meaningful conversations.
Thoughtful Gifts: I always bring a small token of appreciation for my hosts. This could be Chinese tea, a unique Beijing souvenir, or something representative of my hometown in Guizhou. It's my way of saying thank you and sharing a piece of my culture with you.
Help Around the House: I'm more than happy to assist with household chores or cooking. Whether it's preparing a Chinese meal or helping with daily tasks, I'm here to make your life a little easier during my stay.
I'm looking forward to sharing these experiences and creating memorable moments with my hosts!
