About Me
What about me...
I'm a student in Oceanography and I mostly work on climate change and human disturbances. My specialties are sedimentology and wetlands (salt marshes and mangroves). I did several internships focusing on sediment dynamics in wetland ecosystems in the US and Mexico.
No many doubts about it: my main interests are the ocean and traveling.
I took a year off from university to travel but unfortunately, I had to come back to France because of coronavirus. I am currently living in Le Mans (France), but I am already planning to move to Mexico in September to begin a Ph.D. on mangrove ecosystems.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a good way of meeting people and sharing ideas. I have a lot of good memories with couchsurfers, in particular the Couchsurfing group of Mazatlán, Mexico. Lots of couchsurfers pass by Mazatlan on their way to cross Latin America or to visit Mexico. Our group was organizing weekly meetings, trips and finding host from them.
I hosted lots of couchsurfers on another account shared with my roomie in Mazatlán. But for the moment, I can't welcome any guests because I don't have my own place.

Music, Movies, and Books
I prefer silence rather than music, I prefer books rather than movies. I like all types of music (classic to metal) and books (biographies to SF).
My favorite groups are Alter bridge and Porcupine tree.
I grew up with Millenium trilogy and Scandinavian thrillers. For now, I like reading novels and autobiographies with female heroes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last in date: Climbing the volcano Acatenango, in Guatemala and getting lost in the middle of the way. Finally reaching the top after various hours and having the best meal of my life (bread, tuna, and avocado
accompanied by a bottle of Quetzalteca; yes man it tastes delicious at 3 976 m!).
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to share meals and recipes. Cooking and eating are serious subjects in France.
Talking about the world and science.
Listening trip stories, making travel plans.
Finding commonalities. Speaking and learning languages.
Drinking different types of beers and dreaming about opening a brewery.
What I Can Share with Hosts
French culture and gastronomy.
Travel and life memories.
Ocean and world mysteries.
