ABOUT ME

Friendly, adventurous and openminded man. I like to communicate with other people to discover their lives and the way the live and think. I'm interested in cultures, customs, emotions, and philosophy of other people.

I grew up in a communist system in Czechoslovakia and right after it allowed me to do so, I've created my own business (security systems) which I operate until the day, currently having about 50 employees. I've recently opened a restaurant and a brewery with about 15 hand-crafted beers!
My great hobby is my Jaguar collection, which I turned into a museum in
my restaurant for other people to admire the beauty of these cars.

During 2013 I decided to realise my long time dream – to do a „Motorbike tour around the world “ on my BMW 1200 GS, which I expect it to take around 3 years.
I'll be travelling with my girlfriend Radka (30) on one motorcycle. She's also very friendly and cheerful, but speaks English just a little bit.

We're starting on June 11th 2014!

Firstly we're heading north from the Czech Republic to Iceland, Scandinavia, Baltic countries, Poland, followed by trip to south Europe through France, Spain, and Portugal.
At the end of November 2014 we plan to move to Africa for next 8-9 months to visit all African countries possible, riding from north to south and back.

After Africa we will probably head to Asia and Australia.

We would like to travel „time-free“ and not to plan a long time ahead. We will follow our feelings and won't hurry.

PHILOSOPHY

Live my life as fully as possible in all ways life offers. Not to be afraid to go to unknown and try new things.
Do not close a door to new knowledge and adventure, do not refuse things before you know them.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm fairly new in the CS community and during our motorcycle trip we would like to experience surfing and meeting new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have any experience yet, since I have discovered CS just recently. My son recommended and explained me, how CS works.

During our motorbike traveling it will be big advantage to have covered (best locked) staying for our motorbike!

Interests

I am really interested in travelling, meeting new people and discover countries I haven't been before. I enjoy adventure, nature (hiking, trekking), trying new food and drinks, music, dancing.
I like to talk my own country and lifestyle as well as listening to others' stories.
I enjoy any kind of fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy alternative „club“ and non-commercial movies. Besides that, probably Quentin Tarantino, Cohen brothers, Pedro Almodovar.

I listen to classic rock and art rock (Pink Floyd, Genesis, Queen, Nirvana, Dire Straits...), but also enjoy world and ethnic music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Besides my two beautiful children (daughter 23, son 22) I believe the best is still waiting for me and my girlfriend on our Motorbike World Tour 2014-2017. I decided to leave my business after 22 years and travel without any luxury or civilisation background which in my opinion make us lazy and degenerative.

Teach, Learn, Share

I grew my business from a scratch to 50 employee, moreover I opened a restaurant with 150 seats and small brewery. I'm willing to share any of my experience.
I've already traveled a big part of the world and the rest is now waiting for me.
