Overview
About Me
I’m a positive, curious, and sociable person who thrives on adventure and travel. My life wouldn’t be complete without meeting new people and exploring new places. I’m always full of energy, ready to take on a hundred different things—whether it’s hiking, skiing, ice-skating, camping, diving or cooking, just to name a few. Above all, I’m most passionate about nature and its untouched beauty.
Having lived in Spain and Switzerland, volunteered in Uganda, and earned a master’s degree in the UK, I eventually found my way back to my beloved home country, Lithuania.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be honest, I’ve been more of a surfer than a host. When I first started Couchsurfing in 2008, I was a student and rarely had the opportunity to host.
Even though many years have passed and both Couchsurfing and my way of traveling have evolved—especially since becoming a mother of two wonderful children—Couchsurfing still holds a very special place in my heart. I remain deeply in love with the old spirit of Couchsurfing, which for me, and many others, continues to be an endless source of invaluable cultural exchange, trust, and a shared aspiration for kindness. Once a true Couchsurfer, the spirit of it stays with you forever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It’s impossible to choose just one achievement, just as it’s impossible to name a single country I’ve loved the most, so I’ll name a few..
I did a 6 month solo trip through East Africa. Met a cannibal who, surprisingly, became my guide for a few days in a remote area near the Uganda–South Sudan border. Survived malaria twice. Gazed at the stars in a remote oasis in the Sahara Desert. Was amazed by the Big Five in the wild. Got lost and camped in the literal middle of nowhere in Argentina. Saw the Northern Lights on my birthday in Iceland. Dived with whale sharks in the Philippines and with seals in South Africa. Hiked up to Ijen Crater at night and witnessed the blue flames. Lived in a Swiss ski resort with a free ski pass. Spent six summer seasons full of joy and adventure in my beloved Spain.
