One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once flew a plane over the highest mountain in Slovenia. Talk about a view! It was a wild mix of adrenaline and awe that I’ll never forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have the following tips for you when visiting Ljubljana:
City Center Landmarks:
Ljubljana is rich in history and beautiful landmarks. Be sure to visit Ljubljana Castle, perched on a hilltop offering stunning views of the city. The Triple Bridge is an iconic spot that connects the historical, medieval, and modern parts of the city. Prešeren Square is the heart of Ljubljana, surrounded by impressive architecture and a vibrant atmosphere. Don’t miss the Dragon Bridge, famous for its dragon statues and a symbol of the city. For a peaceful escape, the Tivoli Park offers lush greenery and a serene environment.
Food:
Ljubljana’s cuisine is influenced by Mediterranean, Balkan, Italian, Austrian, and German traditions. The food here is delicious and diverse, no matter where you go. For typical slovene food I would recommend restaurant Figovec. If you’re looking for specific recommendations, feel free to message me for some custom suggestions!
Bars & Nightlife:
For a great night out, head to Cankarjevo nabrežje or Petkovškovo nabrežje, where you’ll find a lively bar scene and a great atmosphere.
Wine:
If you love wine, make sure to visit Kozelj Wines in the city center. It’s an excellent place to sample some of the finest wines Slovenia has to offer.
Transportation:
The city center of Ljubljana is easily walkable. However, if you need to use public transport, we have a convenient tap-and-go system. You can pay for buses with your card or use the “Metro” app for ordering a taxi. Note that Uber and Bolt are not available here.
Golf:
For golf enthusiasts, Golf Trnovo is a fantastic spot to enjoy a round. Located in a picturesque setting, this course offers a pleasant experience for both beginners and seasoned players. It’s a great way to relax and enjoy.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need more recommendations!
