Hi, I'm Jurek! 👋
I'm currently in the middle of a big adventure – driving across the world to China in my old VW Polo II. No fixed plan, no fixed route – anything can happen any day, and that's exactly what I love about it.
I'm an open, easy-going guy who loves being around people – whether that's cooking together, long conversations in the evening or spontaneous day trips. I studied economics, spent half a year in England working in battery testing, and got my car road-trip-ready myself – I'm pretty handy and fix whatever breaks along the way 🔧
I'm happiest when I'm moving – cycling, mountaineering, yoga, you name it. Ten years of competitive rowing are still in the bones 🚴

What I'm looking for: Local tips and genuine conversations mean just as much to me as a place to sleep. I'm always happy to hear what makes your area special.
I'm not picky about where I sleep – I've had nights in royal beds and dusty storage rooms alike. If no one can host me, I'll sleep in my car or outside. As long as there's no rain in my face, I'm happy 😄

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on an overland trip from Europe to China and I don’t just want to drive through countries. I want to actually meet the people, understand the cultures and see how life is lived there. Couchsurfing is simply the best way to do that.

Interests

Video editing (DaVinci Resolve & Final Cut), photography, pretty much any kind of sport, grabbing a coffee or just being out in nature and of course meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds. That last one is kind of the whole point of this trip 😄

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to pretty much everything. lately a lot of Bonez MC, RAF Camora and a bunch of Spanish, Greek and English artists. Depends on the mood.

Not much of a bookworm honestly, but I picked up a psychology book for the road. Oh, and I just started Game of Thrones. If you’ve always wanted to watch it or feel like a rewatch, this is literally your sign to host me 🐉😉
