I am 18 years old and currently doing a gap year before starting at University.
Originally I´m from Germany but for the last two years I have lived in a host family in York in order to learn English and go to College.

During my time at York College I made many friends from across the world. My experience is that the best way to get to know new people is by being open and seeking every opportunity to introduce myself to anyone I meet with a big smile and open arms.
After meeting so many great people in England I cannot wait to meet even more wonderful people in Australia.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

My plan is to head to Australia and travel around for a while.
I love to meet new people and get to know the locals in all the places I visit. A friend who travelled Australia and New Zealand a while back gave the reccomendation.

Currently I can´t host anyone since I am travelling myself and only have temporary homes. But once I take a break from travelling I can´t wait to invite the travellers to me.

Intereses

I´m a big fan of TEAM SPORTS, in the past I played Handball, Football and Lacrosse.
After an injury last year I had to drop those activities but I´m eager to continue as soon as possible.

READING a good book is one of my favourites in the meantime, reading for me is the best way to gain knowledge and to further the mind.

Having dinner once a week with friends from Italy, China, Russia and England during my two years in York each time cooking something new from our countries for each other (Sep. 2013 - June 2015)
Spending one week with the family of an Italian friend in Puglia being invited for dinner to a different relative of his each day, never ate so much delicious home made food in lmy life (Oct. 2015)
Going on a spontanious road trip through Poland for two weeks with a friends family sleeping in a different town every other night (Summer 2012)
Lived in a trailer for half a year when i was 7 years old.
