Overview
About Me
I live in the southern part of Amsterdam. Amsterdam is a village somewhere in the West of the Netherlands and apparently there are many of us who would like to be there for a few days. I agree, it is a great city to live in, especially if you have a bike (I have a about 5 bikes actually, so you can always use one of them). I recommend not only visiting the city center, also go to the area's around (De Pijp, Oost, Jordaan, West).
So, I live in an appartment in Amsterdam (first floor). After playing with lasers in a laboratory for while and writing a thesis about it I decided to get a 'real' job and currently I'm working at the national Bureau of Statistics doing other nerd stuff.
If you're not busy visiting the coffee shops or red light distric for a moment, I would love to show you some other Dutch culture. I haven't visited all museums myself here yet and in case you appreciate techno music, I can show you some clubscene.
