Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have couchsurfed in Israel & Palestine. Amazing meetings and great experiences overall convinced me to try my luck in China and once back in Europe, in Denmark. Twas awesome!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first Couch-Surfing experience was in Tel Aviv, with the amazing Einan. After that followed no less amazing stays with Ofer, Nizar, Amittai and now Bing and Shiying in Shanghai and Suzhou. I am very grateful that I got to meet all these amazing individuals! Thanks for the memories.

Interests

When I am not globetrotting I have to go to a strange place called University. After a long struggle the major of my interest turned out to be International Politics and History (and later International Security and Law). But don't worry, there is absolutely no wish to be a politician. ^^
However, it might explain my interest with exotic stuff and all kinds of global issues... Besides, I love music (play the violin & the harp), listen to all kinds of Rock, love to read, draw and generally meet new people. I also enjoy being outside as well as "hygge" evenings. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read. Although you will probably mostly see my nose in tourist guidebooks around here, I also read science fiction, crime novels, historic novels and lots of fantasy.
My all-time favorite movie is "Life is beautiful" but I enjoy many kinds of films (Monty Python , Dark Knight, etc.). Since I love to laugh and goof around I also enjoy silly comedy classics such as "Airplane" and "A Fish named Wanda". Even though I play such classical instruments, I enjoy generally various kinds of music. I love soundtracks but also visit Rock concerts and adore discovering small bands nobody has ever heard about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing on Machu Picchu at first morning light was certainly an experience I am never going to forget. On the other hand my encounter with a moose might turn out to be the more amusing story for my grandchildren one day. Difficult...

Teach, Learn, Share

I would say that depends on the person, as I am open to teach you anything and will be curious what you can show me ;). I am a good listener but also can be chatty. I can teach you some German or Spanish and would be always interested to exchange travel-experiences, jokes, news, etc.
