About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeing the world, Meeting new people, making friends, experiencing new things and fulfulling my dreams.

ABOUT ME

I'm short, weird, and silly. I love discovering new things and finding myself in the middle of new experiences. I was born and raised in Hawai'i, then moved to San Francisco in 2010. 8 months later, I took off in my truck and traveled around the US for almost 2 years, WWOOFing, camping and visiting friends and family. I've met so many amazing people and have seen so many beautiful places so far, I cant wait for more! Currently, I'm settled in San Francsico for awhile. If I happen upon a place of my own, i'd love to become a host!!! I'm available most of the time so i'm always up to meet up with anyone for some fun activities, or just a drink and some conversation. As far as personality. I'm go with the flow. My family and friends are the most important things in my life. The friends closest to me are considered my family. I'd do anything in my power for any of those people. I'm just living life and loving it. There's just too many wonderful things in this world to just sit in one place! I'd love to meet anyone, so if you're in San Francisco, drop in and say hi!visited 10 states (20%)Create your own visited map of The United States

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm available to hang out around San Francisco if you're visiting, or ask me for some ideas of things to do while in SF. I hope to get my own place one day and become a host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

If it werent for friends and the couch surfing community, I wouldn't get to travel as much as I have or to meet the awesome people I have & share our stories and experience. People never realize that a simple favor can mean so much to someone, not to mention, save alot of money.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love roots music. The music we hear today wouldnt be what it is without the pioneers who created the foundation. I love old school Jazz & Folk. I also love indie music and the singer/songwriters out there doing their thing on their own terms. I'm a big fan of Broadway musicals and also enjoy the simple fun pop music of the 80's and 90's. My musical taste depends on the day. I can go from country to metal, or Tupac to Edith Piaf! There's so much out there! Share something new with me!

As far as Movies go, I love finding films that i've never heard of, especially classics, indie films & Bollywood. I grew up on musicals and old films, I love Gene Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Barbara Streisand, Leslie Caron, Judy Garland, and ALOT more. I CRAVE well made horror films arent just blood and guts, but scare me psychologically as well as visually. Nothing since the Exorcist has satisfied that craving. Dont get me wrong, pointless slasher films are priceless and I love um.

I'm trying to get back into reading, so share your thoughts with me on books you love!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The musical RENT has inspired my life in many ways. After hearing that it was closing i saved enough money and I went to NY. It was an amazing experience getting to fulfill a dream that big. RENT was amazing! On top of that, going to NY and seeing shows on Broadway was something i've always wanted to do as well. So on top of seeing RENT, I saw two other shows!

The thing I didn't expect was that I got more out of that trip than I would have thought. I had traveled alone before, but I always ended up somewhere that I knew someone. This time I went completely alone, and when I got there, I was still alone...in a huge city no less. I gained a very big sence of independance. I thought i'd be nervous being all alone in NY, but honestly, I felt so safe with myself, and I realized that though my family and friends are the world to me, I dont always need someone there.

People always tell me that I need to do things to make myself happy, because all I want is to make people I care about happy. But this trip was a wake up call because there was no one to please but myself and it felt really weird, but, knowing what I accomplished with no help from anyone, that it was just my actions, hard work, and determination that made this work really made me step outside myself and see that I really needed to do something for me, and i'm very proud of myself for making it happen. Everything I learned about who I am, and the confidence that I gained is exactly what I needed. RENT had changed my life before and my inspiration from it led me to another life changing experience. I hope I never forget that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have alot to learn, but am always willing to share my experiences with anyone who may benefit. It could be as simple as lending an ear or a piece of advice, to something physical like building or painting. I have skills in minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and other "fix it" type things. So if you need anything of that sort, just ask! One thing I want to learn is...how to milk a cow!
